New and Improved: Flexible Anytime, Self-Service Pause Feature

We know how important it is for the globetrotting fashionable citizens of the world to have full control of their Infinite Wardrobe. Not only does flexibility translate to the possibility to transform into style chameleons, but also to hit pause on lifestyle habits for that ‘mo.

Flexibility is the key priority for travelling Women of Style Theory, so we’re glad to introduce the Pause feature for those long trips or busy out-of-town periods.

Directly pause your subscription when you simply:

1. In the App, Go to “Account”

2. Select “Subscription Details”

3. Select “Pause Your Subscription”

4. Choose your Pause Duration (min. 7 days)

Your subscription will automatically resume after the pause period ends. We did the busy work for you so you don’t have to!

If you wish to come back before your pause period is over, you can do so by clicking on the Resume Subscription button in the Style Theory app.

If you resume your account before the minimum pause period 7 days, you won’t be able to reclaim any pause quota.

Some friendly tips:

Will I be charged during the pause period?

Absolutely not! The pause does not mean an extension of the subscription cycle. You won’t be charged during your pause period and the unused credit for the paid month will be discounted against your next billing renewal.

You may activate the pause when your return has been processed and all reviews submitted. There will be no backdating for unused days outside of the self-pause period.

Why is there a pause quota?

When you pause, we still reserve a spot for you to come back to our subscription. This means that we will continue to stock up more clothes for your usage and not let extra subscribers join our service to take up your spot. Hence, please only pause your subscription when you have the intention of returning to the service immediately. There will be no backdating for unused days outside of the self-pause period. If you need to pause for more than the quota you have, please reach out to our customer service team and we are happy to help where we can.

Can I go on pause if I’ve received a discount coupon for the month?

Any discounts received for that activated pause cycle will be forfeited after you pause the account. If you received a discount for the current cycle, you are encouraged not to pause your subscription. 🙂

What happens when the pause period ends?

Your Style Theory subscription will be automatically reactivated when the pause period ends and you will be able to continue renting immediately. Please ensure that your app notification is turned ON in your device Settings before you go on pause to stay updated with us!

You may be charged upon reactivation if your renewal date falls within the pause period. Your billing date remains the same every month regardless of pause.

Will I be charged for during pause period?

No! The unused period from your current subscription cycle will be pro-rated in credits to your account and discounted against your next payment when you return from pause.

For example, if your recurring billing date is on the 1st of every month and you decide to pause on the 15th until the end of the cycle, you will then have remaining approximately 15 days worth of subscription credit (for a 30-day month). This credit amount will be discounted against your next chargeable billing when your subscription has resumed. The credits are calculated down to the second.

You may be charged upon reactivation if your renewal date falls within the pause period. Your billing date remains the same every month regardless of pause.

Is pausing the same as cancelling the subscription?

Pausing and cancelling the subscription work very differently. Pause feature is designed for customers who are going away for a short period of time and plan to continue with their subscription after that. It is not a permanent termination of your account.

If you are thinking of cancelling the subscription, please chat in the app for a permanent termination request one week before your next billing and we will assist you accordingly! Kindly note that by pausing your subscription, you agree to stay on for one billing cycle after reactivation.
