For this special Australian Edition of our Designer Spotlight series, we’ve rounded up eight labels from Down Under that have landed on our radar. Here’s a label to look out for your wedding guest outfits:
Have a wedding to attend but don’t know what to wear? The feminine and romantic pieces from Australian label Romance could just be what you’re looking for. The occasionwear label was originally established under Honey and Beau in 2003. Their collections feature delicate laces, luxurious sequins, and beading, as well as beautiful embroidery and hand-made feature pieces. Their lead designer was awarded the Australian Young Designer Award in the 2007 Australian Week, and won the Metropolitan Institute of TAFE Collection Award in 2008. He has also designed for many celebrities, including Kelly Osbourne and Cindy Crawford.
Though it may not be your big day, you’d still want to look your best for the joyous occasion. Whether it’s an outdoor wedding or a swanky hotel dinner, here are some of our picks from Romance that will make you the best dressed wedding guest (without upstaging the bride, of course)!
From the Infinite Wardrobe: Neon Fantasia Dress
Florals are always a safe bet for weddings, and they get a technicolour twist in this cocktail dress adorned with beautiful floral lace – a statement piece for sure!
From the Infinite Wardrobe: Infinity Dress
If you’re a romantic at heart and a sucker for lace dresses, this one’s for you. Fit for a fairytale wedding, this gorgeous piece features a mesh overlay with paisley and heart embroidery all around.
From the Infinite Wardrobe: Dolce Vita Midi Dress
You can also find more understated styles from the brand, such as this gorgeous black dress in a delicate floral lace. It’ll flatter your figure and go with all kinds of accessories – a great option for your next wedding dinner.
From the Infinite Wardrobe: Lucky Asymmetric Dress
Channel some classic Hollywood glamour in this one-shoulder tangerine stunner with an asymmetrical waterfall hemline. Great for more formal weddings, it’s simple yet elegant. Top off the look with long diamond earrings and a chain-strap shoulder bag.
From the Infinite Wardrobe: Mystic Jumpsuit
More of a no-frills, pantsuits-over-dresses kind of girl? Look ultra chic in this classy alternative to a maxi dress. The cowl neckline is stylish and a nice touch to an otherwise simple silhouette. Accessorize with a pair of earrings and a statement clutch to complete the look.
