Instead, while you’re planning your grocery list for the week ahead, we’ve helped to handpick our favourite five-ingredient recipes so no one’s panic-buying or getting hangry. Plus, all the ingredients can be easily found in your neighbourhood supermarket! 

Food for the Soul: Kimchi Fried Rice

Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients you’ll need: 

  1. Cooked rice
  2. Sesame oil
  3. Kimchi
  4. Green onions
  5. Egg

Pro-tip: Let your cooked quinoa cool before sautéing with your favourite ingredients to avoid a sticky situation!

Hearty Comfort: Egg-Fried Rice Noodles with Chicken

Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients you’ll need: 

  1. Rice noodles
  2. Skinless chicken breasts
  3. Garlic
  4. Broccoli
  5. Egg

Pro-tip: Switch up the chicken with your favourite kind of protein.

 

Mexican Feast: Chipotle Chicken

Time: 2h 15 min (includes 2h marinate time)

Ingredients you’ll need:

    1. Chicken thighs
    2. Salt
    3. Black pepper
    4. Chipotle en adobo
    5. Avocado (optional)


Pro-tip: If you’re wondering what else to do with that can of opened Chipotle en adobo sauce, add some cashews to it and voilà – an instant chip dip.

One-pan Wonder: Perfect Carbonara

Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients you’ll need: 

    1. Spaghetti
    2. Garlic
    3. Parmesan
    4. Eggs
    5. Bacon

Pro-tip: Work quickly so you don’t end up with scrambled eggs!
